GODDESS NOIR CAKES LLC is dedicated to creating a luxurious and exclusive customer experience for newly engaged couples looking to invest in a wedding cake that not only meets the eye, but never compromises that homemade taste.

 Why is that homemade taste, so important for founder Brittany Bland-Boyd? As a Black American, Brittany grew up baking various desserts such as peach cobbler, sock it to me cake, pineapple coconut cake and sweet potato pie surrounded by soul food at family gatherings. Flavors such as these remind Brittany of her culture and home. Each bite is a celebration of flavor, nostalgia and soulful indulgence.

Founder Brittany Bland-Boyd has been in the cake decorating industry since 2009. This experience spans from multiple grocery store bakeries, culinary school, cake competitions, business partnerships with schools and running a home based bakery. 

Her career started at a very young age, baking with her mother. After watching a popular cake show, Brittany and her mother decided to put their creative abilities to the test. They created tiered cakes with elaborate designs.

While in high school, one day Brittany questioned her mother on why she didn’t receive allowance. Her mother said, “You better get out there and sell a cupcake or a cookie.” The very next day with red velvet cupcakes in hand, Brittany embarked on her entrepreneurial journey, selling a total of 2 cupcakes. However, she didn’t stop there. Keeping in mind trends, profitability and consumer preference, she decided to sell cake pops. Her cake pops sales exploded, soon building her reputation around school as the “Cake-pop Girl”. 

That same innovation and drive that Brittany displayed as a young entrepreneur, is what she puts into GODDESS NOIR CAKES LLC.
